Service description

Challenge Accepted is a local‑first habit and challenge tracker. Most functionality runs in your browser and stores data on your device. An optional Google Sheets sync lets you export or import data with a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
• If you use the app on behalf of an entity, you represent you have authority to bind that entity.

Local‑first model and your responsibilities

• You own your data. We do not operate a backend that stores it.
• You are responsible for exporting/backing up your data if needed.
• If you enable Google Sheets sync, you control access to that sheet from your Google account.

Google integration

• Connecting Google uses Google Identity Services and Google Sheets API, subject to Google's terms and privacy policies.
• The app requests only the drive.file scope, so it can create and edit only spreadsheets it creates. You must create the sheet within the app before syncing; it does not search your Drive. Tokens are handled client‑side. We do not proxy or store your tokens or Sheets data on our servers.
• You can disconnect in the app to revoke the token and revoke access from your Google Account at any time.

License and ownership

• We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the app for personal or internal business purposes.
• All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us and our licensors.

Acceptable use

• Do not store unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Do not reverse engineer, interfere with, or bypass security or rate limits.
• Do not misuse third‑party services connected through the app.

Availability and changes

• The app may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time without notice.
• We are not liable for outages, data loss on your device, or third‑party service failures.

Feedback

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non‑exclusive, irrevocable, royalty‑free license to use them without restriction.

No warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. You use the app at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Challenge Accepted and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, or data, arising from or related to your use of the app.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Challenge Accepted and its contributors from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app at any time. You may stop using the app at any time. Certain sections survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law where you reside unless a different governing law is required by local law. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts with jurisdiction over your residence, unless otherwise required.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
